Wishing You a Fulfilling 2023!
We are still in the twelve days of Christmas ending with Epiphany on the 6th January. I am intrigued how various Christian festivals are steeped in older traditions, which connect us to ancient times, to world wise cultures. In England we do not mark the 6th January as much as in other countries.
Historically and mythologically it is a very important date. The three wise men who followed the star brought their gifts to Jesus, later it was the date of the Baptism of Christ. It is older than Christmas and celebrated the solstice of the Julian and Egyptian calendar, even further back celebrating the festival of Dionysis, the re-birth of Osiris and the birth of Aeon from the Virgin Kore. Thereby connecting the Heavens, the Earth and the Underworld realms.
We can honour these festival days as markers to our lives, to the yearly calendar and to connect us forwards and backwards in time, expanding our view of life and the world cosmos as a united entity.
As the carol says, ‘star of wonder, star of night, … guide us with thy perfect light’
It can be a reminder to follow our star and bring our gifts to the world …
We can start gently and slowly, step by step.

Thank you to those twelve of you who braved the freezing temperatures on December 15th to join the evening Solstice Workshop, it was a warm, festive evening and a beautiful ritual of walking the advent spiral to make our intentions and wishes for self and others. A heart-connecting experience!
With further heart connection in mind I will be offering an online afternoon workshop on January 28th to connect you to the female archetype soul qualities to enhance your life.
We will meet in person on February 18th afternoon to ignite the Seeds of New Life, with creative activities to help quicken the seeds.
In April I will be offering a weekend Retreat on the phases of a woman’s life; Maiden, Mother and Wise Woman. If you feel drawn to explore these aspects of yourself and your family, then do register your interest and book.

Spring Retreat: Maiden, Mother, Wise Woman: The Phases of a Woman’s Life

A transitions of a woman’s life bring celebration and loss, often not acknowledged or supported. Through the support of the myth of Persephone we will explore and honour these phases. The process will be supported through creative methods.
