We will dance together in the sunshine and garden expressing ourselves freely and moving to the archetypes (with Vital Development® Vital Danza® method).

 

We will paint and express the imaginations that arise from the movement and creative learning. A safe place to reax and open to yourself and the group with time to reflect and share on personal themes.   The workshop will be held at a lovely family country farmhouse in Nerola, area of Sabina in the Roman region of Lazio. A unique opportunity to stay in a beautiful location, enjoying the views, warmth, and delicious home food cooked by the Italian family. Set amongst olive trees, vines and fruit trees. Enjoy the abundant cherries from the trees and learn about wine making and cooking.

We will have morning and afternoon workshops with time for a long lazy lunch and dinner together al fresco.   It starts from Thursday evening early session before dinner together and ending Sunday after lunchtime. Accommodation would be in local Agriturismo Il Bagolaro (www.ilbagolaro.it or www.farmhouseilbagolaro.com) at a cost of approx £50 per room per night, which has a lovely swimming pool. We can arrange reservation of the guest house and flights would be booked separately.

 

It is 45mins drive from the town of Tivoli and approx the same from Rome, with direct rail link to Rome airport of approx (1.5hrs).

Workshop Experience a heart enriching journey with the theme of Joyous Body, Joyous Life and Transformation of the Butterfly, which will take you on a delightful journey of creativity and rejuvenation. Immersed in the beautiful surrounding nature and its colours to support you, you will be invited to revitalize your senses and relax your body. We will move freely and express various archetypes with the support of VitalDanzaÒ method, which needs no experience or ability to dance steps. Out of the movement will be the inspiration to paint the themes and discover new ideas and insights for yourself and your life. Everyone will be encouraged to bring forth new potential and renewed life for yourself. No experience necessary.

 

There will be two sessions per day; in the morning and early evening, so you can enjoy a lazy rest and relaxation period after lunch back at the guest house by the pool.

 

A Special Place 

The retreat is located in a beautiful environment in the countryside just outside of the hilltop village of Nerola, in the beautiful and ancient Sabina Area in the region of Lazio, 35 km to Rome (60 Km from Rome International Airport).

The area is full of ancient history. It is on the route of Via Francigena of San Francesco di Assisi: an ancient road and pilgrim route running from France to Rome. We are not far from historical places such as Tivoli, and Rome and a couple of hours from Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto and Montepulciano. A warm welcome awaits at the property of the retreat, which is a private family dwelling. It is situated on beautiful fertile land on an estate of 3 hectares and is abundant with olive trees, fruit trees, vines, figs and flowers. It overlooks the valley towards Rome and behind it towards the village of Nerola on the hill.

 

Nerola is famous for being the location where Neroli essential oil originated in the 17th century when a count wished to win over the lady of the castle and delivered to her a courtyard full of orange blossom flowers. She decided to use them to create an enticing scent, which became coveted throughout the courts of Europe!

The sessions will take place in the lovely garden and there is also an indoor living room should the weather require it. Delicious Food There will be delicious food the way only Italian know how to make it!

We will be able to enjoy lunch/dinner served al fresco. All the food will be deliciously home cooked with some of the food grown on the premises. You will be able to meet family members and try out your Italian over lunch! And see how the wine is produced. An authentic Italian family endeavour!

We will make the reservations on your behalf and you settle payment with us.

It provides comfortable accommodation in colourful, newly refurbished rooms with ensuite facilities.

 

Climate

June offers sunny warm weather without the intense heat of July/August. Some evenings may be a little chilly, a light jacket is advisable. Bring a variety of clothes and clothes to dance in, swimwear and hat.

 

Internet

There is no wifi at the retreat farmhouse but there is mobile signal for personal hotspot. Il Bagolaro guest house has a working wifi connection.

 

Practicalities

Schedule We will join together on the Thursday around 6pm for an initial welcome and introduction followed by dinner together. The programme will be approximately mornings 10-1pm followed by lunch and free time and we will meet again early evening for another session followed by dinner. On Sunday we shall finish at about 2pm. Insurance

To get free medical care, you must have the European Health Insurance Card. For ambulances, hospital residence charges and all kinds of losses you also need travel insurance which is a condition of booking. We are required to advise you of this. Any injury or loss needs to be covered by your own insurance. Staying in the Area If you wish to relax for longer and we can liaise with Il Bagolaro for extra nights accommodation.

Insurance

It is a requirement that you have your own travel insurance.

If for any unforeseen reason we need to cancel the retreat you will be given a full refund of the workshop cost and accommodation, flights will not be refunded. Health Any health conditions should be disclosed in advance. The workshop is not therapy, although is therapeutic for personal development. It is not suitable for anyone with acute mental health issues or major physical disabilities. Please discuss with me.
